L’expression \u00ab sans provision \u00bb signifie qu’une personne a fait un ch\u00e8que ou autoris\u00e9 un pr\u00e9l\u00e8vement automatique sans avoir dans son compte les fonds suffisants pour couvrir la transaction.<\/p>\n

Dans ce cas, l’institution bancaire exige g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement des frais. S’il s’agit d’un ch\u00e8que, ces frais peuvent \u00eatre impos\u00e9s \u00e0 la personne ayant fait le ch\u00e8que et au destinataire par leur institution respective. On appelle parfois les ch\u00e8ques sans provision des \u00ab ch\u00e8ques en bois \u00bb.<\/p>\n

S’il s’agit d’un pr\u00e9l\u00e8vement automatique, seule la personne devant faire le paiement peut se voir imposer des frais pour l’insuffisance de fonds.<\/p>\n
