Elles doivent\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>former leurs enseignants et leur personnel \u00e0 ce sujet;<\/li>\n<li>sensibiliser les \u00e9l\u00e8ves;<\/li>\n<li>mettre en place des programmes et politiques de pr\u00e9vention;<\/li>\n<li>cr\u00e9er un milieu scolaire s\u00e9curitaire;<\/li>\n<li>intervenir rapidement en cas d&#8217;incident;<\/li>\n<li>venir en aide aux victimes;<\/li>\n<li>aider les intimidateurs \u00e0 corriger leur comportement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Les enseignants et le personnel scolaire doivent aussi prendre au s\u00e9rieux l&#8217;intimidation et intervenir rapidement et avec tact. Le directeur doit aussi utiliser la discipline progressive. Selon ce principe, la gravit\u00e9 de la punition devrait augmenter graduellement chaque fois que l&#8217;\u00e9l\u00e8ve r\u00e9p\u00e8te le comportement inappropri\u00e9. Par exemple, si un \u00e9l\u00e8ve re\u00e7oit une retenue pour avoir intimid\u00e9 quelqu&#8217;un, mais continue de le faire, le directeur peut envisager de le suspendre. Le but de la discipline progressive est d&#8217;aider l&#8217;\u00e9l\u00e8ve \u00e0 changer de comportement tout en tenant compte de sa personnalit\u00e9 et de sa situation uniques.
