En pratique, cela peut signifier faire les choses diff\u00e9remment pour que vous soyez trait\u00e9 de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re que les autres. C\u2019est ce qu\u2019on appelle parfois \u00ab\u00a0\u00e9liminer les obstacles\u00a0\u00bb qui constituent une forme de discrimination fond\u00e9e sur les caract\u00e9ristiques personnelles \u00e9num\u00e9r\u00e9es dans le Code des droits de la personne de l\u2019Ontario. Cette obligation est appel\u00e9e, dans le jargon juridique, le \u00ab\u00a0devoir d\u2019adaptation\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<h3>Expliquez vos besoins<\/h3>\n<p>Expliquez vos besoins \u00e0 votre employeur, propri\u00e9taire, syndicat ou prestataire de services.<\/p>\n<p>Si ces besoins sont de <a href=\"\/fr\/questions\/employment-and-work\/quels-sont-mes-droits-au-travail-si-jma-religion-exige-que-je-fasse\/\">nature religieuse<\/a>, vous pourriez devoir d\u00e9montrer que vos croyances sont sinc\u00e8res et importantes pour vous.<\/p>\n<p>Si vos besoins concernent <a href=\"\/fr\/questions\/employment-and-work\/je-dois-moccuper-de-mon-enfant-mon-employeur-doit-il\/\">vos enfant<\/a><u>s<\/u>, vous pourriez devoir expliquer votre situation. Vous devez faire des efforts raisonnables pour trouver des solutions de garde qui n\u2019interf\u00e9reront pas avec votre travail. Votre employeur pourrait vous demander d\u2019expliquer les options que vous avez envisag\u00e9es, comme engager une gardienne ou trouver une garderie plus pr\u00e8s du travail.<\/p>\n<p>Si vous avez un <a href=\"\/fr\/questions\/employment-and-work\/jai-un-handicap-quels-sont-mes-droits-au-travail\/\">handicap<\/a>, vous n\u2019avez pas \u00e0 r\u00e9v\u00e9ler votre diagnostic ni la nature de votre handicap. Par contre, vous pourriez devoir dire que vous avez un handicap et expliquer ses r\u00e9percussions pour vous.<\/p>\n<h3>Proposez des options<\/h3>\n<p>Proposez \u00e0 votre employeur, propri\u00e9taire, syndicat ou prestataire de services diff\u00e9rentes mani\u00e8res de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 vos besoins.<\/p>\n<p>Les mesures d\u2019adaptation varient selon les personnes. Voici quelques exemples\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Autoriser les horaires de travail et des pauses flexibles pour que les employ\u00e9s puissent s\u2019occuper de leurs enfants.<\/li>\n<li>Pr\u00e9voir un service d\u2019interpr\u00e9tation en langue des signes ou des sous-titres en temps r\u00e9el pour que les personnes sourdes ou malentendantes puissent participer aux r\u00e9unions.<\/li>\n<li>Am\u00e9nager des toilettes accessibles au travail.<\/li>\n<li>Autoriser quelqu\u2019un \u00e0 prendre ses pauses \u00e0 l\u2019heure des pri\u00e8res.<\/li>\n<li>Reporter un examen, une entrevue ou une r\u00e9union qui doit avoir lieu pendant une f\u00eate religieuse.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Vous et votre employeur, propri\u00e9taire, syndicat ou prestataire de services devez trouver ensemble une solution qui vous convient.
