Who is this guided pathway for

You can use this pathway if you want to get ready for your trial management conference. The pathway can help you fill out:

  • Form 17E: Trial Management Conference Brief (if your case is in the Ontario Court of Justice), or
  • Trial Scheduling Endorsement Form (if your case is in the Superior Court of Justice)
  • other related court forms

Who should not use this pathway

This pathway cannot help with issues for a child protection case that involves a child protection agency.

If you’re not sure whether to use this pathway, talk to a lawyer.

What do you need?

You will need…

  • your contact information
  • contact information for the other party
  • information about how ready your case is for trial
  • information about the evidence you plan to use at your trial, including witnesses, experts, and documents

If you’re using this pathway to fill out a Form 17E, you’ll also need any written agreements you have about issues you have settled, but don’t have a final court order for.

Using the pathway

It can take less than 1 hour or 4 hours or more to complete the pathway depending on your situation and what you’re asking the court for.

It can take less time if you have all your documents ready when you start. The pathway is divided into steps. At the beginning of each step, there’s a list of the information that you need to continue.

You can sign up to create an account or use the pathways as a guest. If you choose not to create an account, the system will time out after 4 hours. You must create an account if you want to save your work on the system or use the other pathways.

All of the information that you enter into the pathways is confidential. CLEO will not give your personal information to anyone unless you ask us to do this. Read more in the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
