About Small Claims Court Guided Pathways

CLEO’s Small Claims Court Guided Pathways are free online interviews that can help you learn more about Small Claims Court and fill out Small Claims Court forms, including a Plaintiff’s Claim (to sue someone) and a Defence (to reply against a claim against you), and take steps to try to collect your money if you win in court.

The pathways ask you questions and then put your answers into the forms you need. When you’re finished, you can save or print your documents.

Plaintiff’s Claim

Make a Plaintiff’s Claim (Form 7A) using CLEO’s Guided Pathways

Use to learn more about Small Claims Court, or to sue a person or an organization (like a business) for $35,000 or less, or to get back goods or personal property worth $35,000 or less.

Reply to a claim

Fill out a Defence (Form 9A) and Defendant’s Claim (Form 10A) using CLEO’s Guided Pathways

Use to reply to a lawsuit against you (Defence), make a claim against the plaintiff who sued you (Defendant’s claim), or both.

You can also use this pathway to make a claim against another person or organization if your claim is related to the plaintiff’s lawsuit (Defendant’s claim).

Enforcement

Enforce your judgment using CLEO’s Guided Pathways

Use to enforce your judgment from Small Claims Court. This means taking steps to collect the money the court awarded to you.

Using the pathway

You can sign up to create an account or use the pathway as a guest. If you choose not to create an account, the system will time out after 4 hours. You must create an account if you want to save your work on the system or use the other pathways.
