New letter-writing tool to ask for a Record of Employment
Steps to Justice has a new letter-writing tool to help workers ask their former employer for their Record of Employment (ROE). The tool collects basic information, such as:
- last day of employment
- name and address of the employer’s company
- employer’s name or name of the person the request is being sent to
The information is used to create an email that can be forwarded to the employer. This is important because people need an ROE to apply for Employment Insurance (EI).
