I have an appointment with IRCC. What should I do?
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has re-opened some offices to hold in-person meetings for some situations, including:
- refugee claimant eligibility interviews
- initial interviews to start an inland refugee claim
- interviews to determine permanent residence status
IRCC is doing other processes by telephone or email, such as:
- landing interviews
- citizenship ceremonies and citizenship tests
IRCC will let you know if you will have an in-person interview or if your application can be handled by telephone or email. Make sure that IRCC has your correct contact information. You can write to the IRCC office you have been working with or use the IRCC web form to ask for an update on your situation or to update your contact information.
