Answer

For now, Ontario Works (OW) and the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) don’t need originals of documents they normally ask for when deciding if you’re eligible for benefits. Instead, you might be able to get your documents to them in other ways, for example, by email.

But you might have to give them the original documents in the future. So make sure you keep them in a safe place.

And your benefits also will not be cancelled if you don’t report your income at this time.

Contact your OW or ODSP worker if you have questions about how to get documents to them or to find out if they need the documents right now.

If you have any problems, talk to your local community legal clinic.
