How do I apply for the child disability benefit?
If your child has a disability, you may be able to get up to $3,173 a year for that child. This is called the child disability benefit (CDB), which is $264.41 each month.
If your is more than $75,537, you won't get the full amount of the CDB.
You get the CDB along with the amount you get for the Canada child benefit.
The CDB is an extra amount each month to help families who care for children who have severe and long-term mental or physical disabilities.
You don't have to apply separately for the CDB. You apply for it when you apply for the Canada child benefit.
