How do I get a pardon or a record suspension?In your application, you must use original documents with the original signature and official seal or stamp from the courts and police. But you can send in copies your identity documents.
Make sure you answer all the questions on the record suspension application form and sign it. If you fill out the form by hand, write in block capital letters using blue or black ink. You need to send the form in within 12 months of signing it.
Before mailing your application, you should photocopy the original documents and keep a copy for yourself.
You must pay $50.00 when you send in your application. You can pay the fee using a:
- credit card (use the Record Suspension Application Processing Fee Credit Card Payment Form)
- certified cheque
- money order
- bank draft payable to the Receiver General for Canada
Mail your completed application form, $50.00 fee, and all original official documents for your record suspension application to the Parole Board of Canada at the address:
