What does it mean to be hired on probation?When you reach the end of the time agreed for your probation period, your employer may decide that:
- you have passed your probation and you still have your job
- they want to lengthen your probation
- they're firing you
But if your probation period ends and your employer does not do or say anything, then your probation is over and you still have the job. So it's a good idea to keep track of when your probation ends.
