2. Complain to the Law Society of Ontario
Question and answer
How do I complain to the Law Society of Ontario about a lawyer or paralegal? To complain to the Law Society of Ontario (LSO), you should use their online service called LSO Connects.
You need an email address to set up an LSO Connects account. This lets the LSO email updates about your complaint to you. If you do not have an email address or cannot fill out the online form, call the LSO toll-free at 1-800-668-7380 and ask for another way to make your complaint.
If you’re Indigenous
If you're First Nations, Inuit, or Metis, you can either use LSO Connects or call the LSO's toll-free number for Indigenous people at 1‐800‐668‐7380 extension 3363.
The LSO has a complaints process for Indigenous peoples.

Sexual abuse is when a person does something that's of a sexual nature. For example, it can be physical, like a touch or gesture. Or it can be something that they say, text or give you.

- the name and address of the lawyer or paralegal you're complaining about

Include all the information you have and everything you want to complain about in the form. You can add up to 15 supporting documents with your complaint form. Examples of documents you can add are:

- texts, messages, emails or letters between you and your lawyer or paralegal
- court or tribunal documents relating to your complaint
You cannot include zip, audio, or video files.
