3. Ask for a quicker hearing
It can take months to get a hearing date at the (LTB). If your vital services, meals, or care services have been cut off or reduced, you should ask the LTB to schedule the hearing as soon as possible.
To ask for a quicker hearing, you must fill in a Request to Extend or Shorten Time form and give it to the LTB with your Form T2 .
You can use the request form to give the LTB information about your situation and explain why you need them to hear this case quickly. On the form, when you explain why you believe your request should be granted, make it clear that your landlord has stopped providing a vital service. You should also attach any you have that the vital service isn't available. For example, attach any disconnection notices you have from the service provider.
An will look at this form and decide if they will schedule the hearing quickly.
