1. Bring your documents to the hearing

Bring all of the paperwork that relates to the decision you're appealing.

This includes:

  • your Appeal Form
  • your Notice of Hearing
  • your , if the appeal is about whether you're a person with a disability
  • any documents you filed with the (SBT)
  • any documents you have that the or the local Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) office filed with theSBT

Filing documents means giving them to the SBT, following the rules about how to do this.

Bringing documents you didn’t already file

Bring 3 copies of any documents you didn't with the SBT but now want them to look at when deciding about your appeal.

There are detailed rules about filing documents before the hearing. And you'll have to explain why you did not follow these rules.

The SBT can decide that they'll still look at your documents. But they don't have to do this.
