3. Start a claim online

Before you start a claim, make sure you know:

• the reason you're making your claim
• the amount of money you're asking for
• your legal name
• details about the person or business you're suing, including their legal name and address

To start a claim in Small Claims Court online:

1. Create an ID and Password on the ONe-key Account Registration website.
2. Start your claim on the Government of Ontario Small Claims Court e-filing service website. You will be asked to log in using your ONe-key ID and Password.
