Go to your trial management conference

A trial management conference has 2 goals:

to confirm how much time the trial will take, and
to give you and your partner one last chance to resolve your issues before going to trial.

Every conference is a chance for you to come closer to agreeing on your issues with your partner.

Bring a Motion

If you want the court to make a temporary order about some of the issues in your case, you can bring a regular motion. A motion is where a party asks a judge to decide specific issues before trial.
The steps you take to bring a regular motion depend on:

If you and your partner agree
If you and your partner don’t agree

You and your partner agree with some or all of the claims

If you and your partner agree on some or all of your issues, you can put what you’ve agreed on in a separation agreement or you can get a consent order.
A separation agreement is a written contract that you and your partner make that says how you will deal with your issues.

If your partner makes new claims, which means they are asking for something else, you don’t have to respond to them. If you don’t, it means you don’t agree with what your partner has said.
But, if you want to reply to their new claims with your facts and evidence, you can fill out Form 10A: Reply.
