Option: CAS offers support services

After an initial screening to check on your child, a (CAS) might offer support services to your family.

For example, the CAS worker might help you:

  • go to a parenting course
  • get addictions counselling
  • plan your budget or meals

They can also refer your family to other places that can help. This is sometimes called providing a “community link”.

For example, if you need help managing your teenager's behaviour, the CAS worker might refer you to a therapist.

You can also ask CAS if you can get help from an organization that knows your culture or speaks your language.
