Question & Answer
What can I do if I see abuse in a long-term care home? Some kinds of care providers are members of a “college”. This is the organization that regulates that profession.
If you have a problem with a care provider who is a member of a regulated health profession, you can complain to their college.
Each college has its own process for:
- looking into complaints, and
- dealing with members who do not follow the rules of conduct and standards of practice for their profession.
You can find information about how to make a complaint on each college's website.
