4. Ask for an internal review

It's very possible that the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) will decide that you don't qualify as a person with a disability based on having Long COVID. But you may be able to appeal.

To appeal means that you ask the (SBT) to decide that the decision that ODSP made is wrong. The SBT is not part of ODSP and has the power to make a different decision.

Before you can make an appeal to the SBT, you must ask ODSP to do an internal review of the decision. You must ask for an within 30 days from the date you got the decision.

In an internal review, someone in the office that made the decision reviews it and decides whether to change it.

It's a good idea to contact a community legal clinic for help with your appeal.
