2. Get support
If you qualify for some services from Ontario Health atHome, your care coordinator will set these up for you. They can also connect you with other services in your area, like a meal program or an adult day program.
To get more support
If you don't qualify for services through Ontario Health atHome, or if you cannot get enough support, you can get services from private home care companies. But you have to pay for these.
Some community organizations have programs for seniors that are free or low cost, like community meals, volunteer visitors, and exercise programs.
To find out what's available in your neighbourhood, you can call 211, your local government or municipal office, or your local Ontario Health atHome.
You can also check with your friends, your local community centre, community newspapers, and social media.
