What is a permanent resident travel document and how do I apply?Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada will check that your application is complete, that you met your and are still a of Canada. In some cases, IRCC may ask you to send more documents by web form or attend an interview to get more information.
If you move or change your address, phone number or any other contact information after you apply, tell IRCC using their web form.
Application approved
If IRCC approves your application for a permanent resident (PR) travel document, they will email you instructions about how and where to submit your valid passport or travel document. Then they will return your passport to you with your PR travel document.
Application refused
If IRCC refuses your application for a PR Travel Document from outside Canada, you will get a refusal letter. You have 60 days to start an appeal to the (IAD) of the (IRB). It's best to get legal help with the appeal.
