3. Get legal help

The Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) may want you to apply for Canada Pension Plan (CPP) disability benefits.

Or they may say that you have an overpayment if you got CPP disability benefits for a time when you were also getting income support. ODSP will take steps to collect the money that you owe.

If you disagree with ODSP

If you disagree with a decision that ODSP makes, you may be able to appeal to the Social Benefits Tribunal.

If you disagree with a decision about CPP disability benefits

If you disagree with a decision about CPP disability benefits, you may be able to appeal to the Social Security Tribunal.

But first you must ask for a “reconsideration”. You must do this within 90 days after getting the decision you disagree with.

If you don't agree with the decision you get after the reconsideration, you may be able to appeal to the Social Security Tribunal.
