2. Choose a correct termination date

Your notice must say the date that you will end your tenancy and move out by. This is called the termination date.

For a weekly tenancy, your termination date must be the last day of a rental period. Usually this is the day before the rent is due.

Example: You rent by the week and your rent is due every Monday. So the termination date you put on your notice must be a Sunday.

For a daily tenancy, your termination date can be any day you choose.
