2. Learn what counts as refusing an offer
Ask your what counts as saying no to an offer of housing. Sometimes they will say you refused housing if you forgot to do something.
The service manager may decide you refused housing if:
- The service manager could not contact you to give the offer because your contact information did not work.
- You missed their deadline to accept the housing offer.
- You told the service manager that you don't want to move right now.
- You don't show up to sign your rental agreement.
These are just some examples.
If your service manager decides that you refused an offer of housing, they must send you a letter that explains their decision. This letter should also tell you how to ask them to change their decision, and your deadline to ask. See Step 4 for more information.
