4. Ask the service manager to change their decision

If the decides that you refused an offer of housing, you can ask them to change their decision. This is called asking for a review.

Your service manager must send you a letter that explains their decision. This letter should also tell you how to ask for a review of that decision and give a deadline to ask for this review.

It's very important that you meet any deadlines.

When you ask for a review, you should:

  • explain why you disagree with the decision
  • send any documents that help explain why you disagree

The review process can be complicated. You can get help from a community legal clinic.

If the service manager denies your review

The service manager might deny your review. This means they will not change their original decision. If your review is denied, you can ask the Divisional Court for a judicial review.

Judicial reviews are very complicated. It's a good idea to get legal help.
