2. Talk to your landlord

If you did give notice correctly, you should talk to your landlord. Ask the landlord for more time to move out, or to continue your tenancy. Explain why you would like to stay. For example, tell your landlord if you are having trouble moving out because of a disability.

If the landlord agrees to your request, make sure you get the agreement in writing. This could be a letter, email, or text message.
