3. Get a decision from the General Division

At your hearing, a member from the Social Security Tribunal (SST) decides about your appeal.

This is the same person who the SST put in charge of your appeal at the beginning. They also decide if you get a longer deadline or if you can submit after the deadline.

The SST aims to make decisions within certain periods of time. But it can be several months.

If you disagree with what the General Division decides, your next option is to appeal to the Appeal Division.
