Ask to see the parts that were replaced

You have the right to keep any parts that were removed from your car. This is true unless the parts were replaced for free or covered under the car's warranty.

You can look at the parts that were removed to make sure they were in need of repair or replacement.

Sometimes repair shops will offer you a lower price in exchange for keeping the old parts. Before the work starts, you can agree to let them keep the old parts. If you agree to let them keep the old parts, it must be written in the estimate or maximum amount agreement.
