How do I appeal to the Employment Insurance Board of Appeal?Send in your Notice of Appeal and any supporting documents and written statements in one of the following ways:
- online
- by mail to the Employment Insurance Board of Appeal, 140 Promenade du Portage Gatineau, Québec K1A 0J9
- in person at a Service Canada office
If mailing your application, allow enough time for it to arrive before the 30-day deadline.
If you need to send more supporting documents or written statements after filing your , you can send them electronically or by mail.

Get an acknowledgement
Once the Employment Insurance Board of Appeal (EI BOA) gets your Notice of Appeal, you'll get a written acknowledgement.
This acknowledgement gives you a Registry Officer's name and telephone number. They are your main contact throughout the appeal process.
The EI BOA aims to schedule and decide appeals within 30 days of getting the Notice of Appeal form.
Make sure you let them know if your address or phone number changes.
