1. Talk to your employer

There may be some things that your employer can do so you have some income while you're waiting for the WSIB to decide about your claim.

Your employer might be able to give you duties you can do even though you're injured. Then, you can stay at work and continue to get paid by your employer.

If you're not able to stay at work, your employer might have a benefit plan that includes insurance benefits such as paid sick leave or pay for you don't get while you're injured.

Your employer may also have a benefit plan that has insurance benefits that pay for you to get treatment, such as going to a physiotherapist or a chiropractor.

If your employer does not have a benefit plan, they might pay for your treatment and then get the money back from the WSIB if your WSIB claim is approved.
